• It’s so Miami! In evidenza

IT’S SO MIAMI! Tourist tips in the Floridian city  Common feelingtends to associate Miami to a type of tourism focused on wild and uninhibited fun, able to entangle the traveler in a swirl of lights, colors, music and flavors. Indeed, this perception of the city has awell-founded basis: during the 80’s Miami became the largest corridor for cocaine from South America, which facilitated an escalation of violent crimes, corruption and widespread insecurity. Even today, the "Sin City" shows off many unique and worldly excesses, especially in areas such as South Beach. Yet, Miami has had the ability to deeply transform the concept of entertainment to which it was previously tied. Miles and miles of white sandy beaches, warm temperatures all year long, and one of the most vibrant nightlife in the world make this city a top destination for all those who need to unwind from their routine: a walk along the palm tree-lined corners of Ocean Drive or among the shops and restaurants of Lincoln Road are a “must”. Located between the river that carries its name, Biscayne Bay, the famous marshes (or Everglades) where one can spend a pleasant day into the wild nature and the Atlantic Ocean, Miami also boasts crossroads of European, American, Latin, Caribbean and even Asian cultures which enrich the city with a countless amount of gastronomic alternatives. You will be spoiled by the wide-array of choices! And for those addicted to shopping, the city offers several options: from gigantic malls, such as Aventura Mall or Dolphin Mall, to outdoor marketplaces like Bayside or the Midtown area. Also, art-related points of interest are numerous if you think of the colorful pieces of world-renowned artist Brito that can be found around the city or the picturesque urban artworks in Design District / Wynwood during every second Saturday of the month for the Art Walk. Furthermore, the possibility of running into a marathon, an outdoor concert, a fashion festival or universities’ nights out, such as those in Coconut Grove, all combine to make Miami a for-all-tastes city, where the choice of when to visit is the only hard part!
